Whether you’re inspired by data, business, people, AI, or the unknown possibilities of technology; Cognizant will connect you to your future. As a graduate, you’ll join our 18-month program where you’ll explore a world of opportunities in your chosen pathway – Consulting.

Want to join our Consultancy pathway?

In our Consulting team, we help businesses understand the challenges they face in achieving their goals and improving everyday life for customers. We create the full scope of digital transformation, from defining problems, understanding solutions, and designing strategies, to delivering influential outcomes. And you’ll see our impact across all industries.

You can have any degree but having experience in management consulting modules will stand you in good stead. The minimum requirement for applications is a 2:2 degree result and you must also have the right to work in the UK.

Who we are

At Cognizant, we help modern businesses get ahead, and stay ahead.

How? We focus on the technologies that are changing the nature of business, like IoT, AI, software engineering, and cloud. Our work spans the whole life cycle and breadth of digital transformation from consulting through to technology delivery, and we work with some of the world’s leading companies across industries and geographies.

Our work has game-changing impact, like when we aided scientists in the race against Covid, or when we helped accelerate the Aston Martin Formula One racing team with key data that influenced the sustainability and performance of the car. Or when we helped the FA change the game of their Digital Engagement platform, helping to modernize football for all. The impact we make is vast and diverse.

As one of the largest global professional services companies, we help clients modernize technology, reimagine processes and transform experiences so they can move forward in our fast-changing world. Together, we’re improving everyday life.

Our Culture

At Cognizant, we’re a high-performing team with heart. We’re high-caliber as we are humble, caring, and supportive of one another. And when you’re part of our global culture, your unique way of thinking and individuality will be celebrated. With a diverse community of over 300,000 people working together to transform the companies, the world relies on – each individual in our teams takes responsibility for creating a culture that enables exceptional outcomes.

We’re excited by the incredible speed of change around us, because we’re right there at the forefront, blending the newest technology with entrepreneurial thinking. With cutting-edge, high-impact projects, we create an inspiring space for you to explore multiple career opportunities as you thrive on the energy of passionate colleagues. We know businesses can only succeed when society prospers and the environment is protected, so we always strive to do what’s right. And when we’re not developing life-changing digital solutions for clients, we’re improving lives elsewhere by volunteering in local communities, fostering inclusion and so much more.

The Graduate Programme

We want to make sure you’re right for us – and we’re right for you. So, we try to make the process as fair and efficient as possible.

Reasonable Adjustment:

Disclosure is a very personal decision but if you need any reasonable adjustment during the selection process, it’s important to let us know. We won’t push for details that you may not want to divulge – privacy is paramount. We just need enough information to confirm what adjustments need to be put in place. We’ll ask if the medical condition is something that our Assessment team needs to be aware of. That way, we can provide additional support if necessary. Ultimately, it’s all down to what you feel comfortable with.

Fair Assessment:

We make sure that our assessors are trained – and regularly assessed themselves – to ensure a fair and inclusive experience for all candidates. For example, our interviewers undergo a training session that includes techniques to recognize and avoid unconscious bias. Our assessors observe a session before they carry out their own interviews. This is so we can offer support, address any issues and provide feedback to improve. Read on to learn about each stage of our application process.

The first stage of our process requires you to complete an application form. For some routes, we may require specific degrees. Make sure you explore all the different areas of the business and indicate which area would suit you best. All roles are based in either London or Leeds, plus you’ll need to work on client sites which could be anywhere in the UK or Ireland.

The next stage is our online assessment. This is a 40-minute online assessment. Our strengths-based assessment will help you learn more about the work you’ll be doing in the graduate program. If you’re successful, you’ll be invited to the next stage. Either way, all candidates will receive a feedback report. The assessment is not time-limited, but it should take you around 40 minutes.

Next, will be a 60-minute online assessment. You’ll have the chance to include video responses here, so it’s a great opportunity to show what you’re like as an individual. We’ll always give you the chance to warm up with a practice question first. Some of the video-based questions will be timed, but you should have plenty of time to provide your answers. The whole thing should take around 60 minutes.

Then, for the final interview, you will get to meet with a member of the team online to have a strengths-based interview. It’s important to just relax and be yourself!
